Office de tourisme de Marrakech
  • Historical Tour Route
  • Palm Grove Tour Route

The tourism office is located at Gueliz, the European quarter created during the French Protectorate in the early 20th century. The name Gueliz came from the stoneware that was extracted from the surrounding hills. This added a certain charm when used in the architecture and decorations of the 20th century.

The European quarter was built according to the plans of the first French protectorate  General Louis Lyautey who recommended  that the European quarter should be constructed  outside the old medina;  Gueliz offers today banks,  Administrative institutions, shops,  chic restaurants and bars.
